It's not about and has never been about avoiding dissenting points of view. It is about avoiding people who cannot present their dissenting point of view without respect to the people they are sharing it with.

That is generally the first defense the troll goes to though.

I didn't ignore him because he had a dissenting point of view. I ignored him because of his conduct. And honestly other then a single poster so far I have not really interacted with anyone on this forum that I think I can expect that with.

In the Roussey thread I posted that after watching a movie called "Red Belt" that had a story premise that kind of reflected on what happens when money and greedy/corrupt promoters get involved with MMA that it caused me to think on this and compare it to what it has done to boxing.

He replied that he watched a movie about a kid being bit by a radioactive spider to make fun of my post. He did not answer my point about Don King. (He did eventually after a couple of post exchanges)

He has basically followed me to every thread. My profile says that he has been around viewing it so now he is kind of just stalking me looking for the next post to make fun of. I just don't have time for that stuff. It's not conducive to learning anything.

Yes it is. It's not about "learning to take a post" or any sort of endurance or being "tough" it's about not wanting to waste someone's time.

Yes. It's not about "taking a post". He was implying I was not "tough enough" to "take" the post. I was pointing out I don't care about that at all.

I was pointing out that I would rather not have to waste my time with the noise.
