What's to confirm? Just look at his profile. December 2007 join date. AND, since I posted yesterday, he changed his style field from "kickboxing" to "Fitocracy." At least it is more honest now.

I should have taken a screen-shot of his old style field. I am sure others saw it. The irony of it is one of the things that made that video so funny.

Not exactly, his original style field said Wing Chun and he changed it to kickboxing sometime after that. See my post above though, he did claim kickboxing significantly before 2009.

@Rafe Dude, please own this **** and move on. There are only a small number of people in the world with experience in blowing up a martial artist with intention to deceive, and most of them are in the room.

Hiro's introductory thread from December, 2007. Interesting read in retrospect. Especially where he explains that he has been training martial arts (Aikido, Ninjitsu, and Karate) since 1996 and had at time been an instructor since 2004. Of course the thread deals with his new Wing Tsun teacher and at the end of the thread he claims to have started Muay Thai training as well. Most important to this discussion is his apparent belief that he can easily beat noobs and senior students alike with the skill he had.

We just have his word. Set up some video and a friendly sparring match between yourself and these top students. Make sure it is friendly. I've encountered many "superior fighters" who found out the hard way they weren't a good as they thought.
