As a parent I fully support what you are saying. I am very proud of the way he has mellowed. At the time of the 2011 Mega he was a cocky 15 year old getting in trouble for fighting at school. Now he's been promoted to blue and hired at his gym as a kickboxing instructor. He's mellowed and learned that respect can flow from a bow and an "usu!", and not just from a 1-2 combo. Fingers crossed, he'll be fine.

As far as him making money fighting, that's not really his plan. He wants to finish school, study business, and open his own MA school someday. If that fails I'll teach him Linear Algebra.

lol im writing from a business class in the hebrew uni... hated linear algebra.. if he doesn't straiten up send him here for three years of service, that made me a man. We have a 15 yo kid in the gym that wants to start competing they can match nice.

I actually have a Rabbi that I can call on at anytime. I've been the best man at two Jewish weddings. I'm actually a certified Krav Maga instructor; certified by someone who actually served and taught IDF (coincidentally the son of my Rabbi).
