I dunno, one or the other of you broke his foot earlier in the day so kk wasn't kicking at all. I'd say given that limitation, and that Chris is a grown man, and Ben was 120lb 15 year old, that it was pretty even. Do you support Chris' contention that someone's ass was kicked?

OK I see a 10-9 round based on the footage shown. To be really fair I'd have to see Kenpo's footage of the whole thing. I would give Chris advantage based on aggression. I'm not giving 10-8 or 10-7 without a knockdown or clear "on the ropes" flurry. Sooo... do you support Chris' contention that someone's ass was kicked, or not?

Not a ton to go on, but I don't see either one getting tooled.

Yes, I think Ben got his ass kicked. I think everybody needs to get their ass kicked to improve. I hear nothing but great things about Ben. I sincerely hoping he continues. That being said I would only give a 10-9 round to Chris. If you want to call it a draw then it would be 10-10. There is no way you should ever give a 9-9.

Now I'm speaking from recollection because 1. I was there and that's what I recall. 2. I remember seeing the video a few months back and thought it was much worse in person than on video. Now if his foot was hurt that would explain kicking but I was at the end of Ben's kicking, I didn't think much of it at the time.

I absolutely disagree. Look at the way I sit there, hips flat on the mat, while Omega dirty dances his way to that choke. Dude, that's weak as ****, and I EXPECT you to point it out to me. So I can get better. If you can't show me enough respect to point out my BS, then there's no reason for me or any one else to be here.

The mindset you describe is antithetical to personal progress.

Of course I'm going to be Ben's biggest booster; that's my job as his parent. But I'm not trying to argue on Ben's behalf, I'm just encouraging Chris to assess his performance accurately. Just like I encourage people to take Chris' skills seriously. He is much improved from the day he fought DTT. Just because other people are in stasis, doesn't me he is.

Also, I placed 2nd in a purple belt division as a white belt in judo. I don't think Ben has quite caught up to me. Just saying.
