    But I was never trolling.

It may not make sense to anyone here with the habit of dualistic or two-dimensional thinking, but the beauty of the right graph is that the idea it conveys is often clear and obvious to anyone. Unlike, for instance, meaningless metrics like "Search volume" or "% Reach".

Do you see us all there, and why historical web statistics can never show the value of a website?

This is what Bullshido really looks like, under the microscope (pun intended).

Meanwhile, a nearly 5m tiger shark has been caught off the beach I swim at after each training session.

You are conflating graphs of a single variable over time (which are necessarily 2-dimensional) with "2-dimensional thinking", which is what caused Khan to lose to Kirk in Star Trek II.

Less people using google to find material relevant to the site today, as opposed to 10 years ago, is not a good thing. That is what is measured, and this is the very straight forward conclusion I draw.

Do you see us all there, and why historical web statistics can never show the value of a website?
I'm not trying to show the "value" of a website (whatever that is); I'm trying to show that fewer and fewer people are showing interest in this site now, and that such interest is at an all time low and falling.

Pseudo-scientific, my ass. Do you have any peer reviewed publications I can take a look at?

In all fairness, these sports statistics are vely limited in what they are able to display. The real statistics, in the real world, are displayed on the streets, with no ruleset and predetermined parameters. Street data is displayed to kill!!11111
