I've got my nose broken kinda bad by this guy (who is a friend..and a nice guy) but he thinks it is okay to preserve energy and power to the sparring sessions...and i don't really know what to say to that...
What do you do when they are friends? Also, some claim not to be able to do "burpees" for example because of their knees etc. they always have an excuse they won't come out and say," i want to be able to put my A game during sparring"...

Those guys that don't see it that way I allow into sparring when everybody's fresh. I give everybody else the instruction to take it to the deep end. Basically force the other person to work to ultimate fatigue and see where he goes.
