Gene Lebell wearing pink is funny because he's a bad ass. He also didn't plan on his wife washing his gi with a red sock, it just happened.

I don't know why Rafe wasted good money on that outfit, but it came across as trying to turn the sparring into cosplay (ie, a joke). If I were his sparring partner I'd have been annoyed too.

I see that Phrost and co. came up with the same training hours vs years trained idea that Riv attacked me for pushing in the past.

Yeah, but some people are fucking hopeless. I don't like it because of some people who come train with me. Showing up is not the same as training people.

What do you define as training as opposed to showing up? This isn't a loaded question, by the way, I'm just asking your opinion as to the characteristics of people who "just show up" and people who "train".

I mean the guy sitting on the side line half assing it while the rest of the team is working their ass off just to join in to free grapple and/or spar. Then he pats himself on the shoulder for tapping or beating on his team mates because he's fresh and they're tired. Then he'll have the nerve to come on here and say "Yeah, went to team practice, I trained for 3 hours", when all he did was 30 minutes of grappling.

I hear you. That's a major gripe I had with a couple of dudes at the gym for a while, they'd sit out after class chatting and chilling out, wait a couple of rounds then go, "yo, wanna roll?" and proceed to smash. One guy in particular did it often, a real headhunter, would go hard as **** as well, I used to get real angry but over time I got fitter, stronger and better at technique and conserving energy. Haven't seen him since the last time, where I dominated him.

I usually look at my mat hours per week like this:

(hours in class) + (hours free rolling) - (an hour or so fucking around) = MAT HOURS

In relation to class, Omega, do you consider that legit training time, or is that just "learning" time and in a different category?

I don't know if that is really up to me to judge. I'm a live type of person. I have guys that will never spar. They hate it. They're great coaches and teachers they just hate contact. So does that count toward your mat hour? I'll leave it up to you guys to decide that. My true opinion is I need to see you in action to know.

I'm thinking of buying a pink button down shirt (for fancy occasions) i think it looks great (it is popular here..many metro-sexual guys) but i just can't shake the years of seeing it as a girl's color.
About the "net training time" don't you guys have rounds? or timed grappling sessions etc?
I also hate those that take it easy during the worm ups and fitness parts so they can spar harder.... but what can you do?

I've kicked guys out of my class during the sparring session if they didn't work out with us.
