The thing is, bad striking sucks more than bad BJJ. In other words, its much better to have a shitty level of BJJ than a equally shitty level of striking, if you had to pick one or another. Measured perhaps in time and effort put into some idealistic idea of the perfect striking or perfect grappling art. i.e. comparable training.
