Did Rudy look like he had no idea how to execute the CMA striking he claimed to have? He did look a little slower and wilder than what's shown in the sparring vid of his I posted, but he was going for, and landing the same stuff minus the straight punches.

I know Anthony said Mash was purple at this time, but I'd be shocked if that were true; this showed up on the web in 1995 IIRC. The number of American purples at that time was very, very small.

So Rudy's head was still in 1993.
His ear was, in any event. My point was simple. This thread has been all about people talking **** without the skill to back it up. I'm sure Alex looks great in Muay Thai. He's never fought MMA/NHB, and by commenting about the fight, he's alluding to some type of skill. Let's face it, my fight with Rudy wasn't anything MMA, change the venue of the fight to outside a bar and it would have been the same type of fight. Rudy punching as hard as he could, me taking him down to control him. As with any street fight, it was ugly, and it didn't last a minute.

It was NHB circa 1996; gloves, rounds (there were rounds, right?) and a ref who could stand it up. LOL at anyone equating this with MMA; the thing ends with a 12-6 knee on a turtled opponent.

So he's more inline with the "Just Bleed" guy who's knowledge of MMA fighting is watching, but never actually fighting MMA?

Hasn't that been the reason for this thread? Posters who who talk a good game, but fight skill wise are lacking.

Wrong again. I actually have an argument behind what I just said.

A pretty obvious one; namely Alex' profile/history.

I think I'm qualified to comment on looking unskilled in a GS LOL.

Edit: Seriously though, I understand how fearing the grappler's shoot fucks with your head in one of these things. I didn't even want to throw anything until he made his first shot. All I was thinking was, sprawl, sprawl, sprawl. I wanted to get a good position (I didn't) and land some **** before getting subbed. That to me was better than having him shoot under my first jab and ending up mounted, landing nothing.

No you don't. If we were talking Muay Thai, sure. We're not.

Maybe you guessed right, but you don't know what he meant. Stop trying to prove that you do and wait for him to answer the question himself.
