I'm just not too optimistic on the level of participating. The place is beautiful, the location is easily reachable from everywhere in Europe, the gym is big enough and the time of the event is informed about four months in advance yet still almost nobody shows up.

Is it still on that sportinghall location?
That place is excellent.

And while just showing up isn't hardly any merit at all it bothers the hell out of me that all you do is bitch about those that actually did show up. We are all big boys (and girls), the Internet is a tough place, bullshido is tougher still and most of the criticism here has been valid, but the tone here is making all this counterproductive. It's much easier just not spend the money and stay at home than risk getting stuck in the middle of a bitchfest of this magnitude, film or no film, skills or no skills. Especially you other eurobullies who bitch and moan about how badly you were represented need to get off your high horse and shut the **** up.

The point is this: Hiro and TS both had an awfull lot to say, gong sauing, threatening, god knows what.
Then hiro turns out to be full of ****.
Now TS was being very suspicious about his training which makes me wonder: wtf is happening over there?

Do you want TD's to become nice little gatherings for your internet homies?
Do some frollicking, get a shiny TDfist, all backing eachother up: 'if you wont tell me I suck I wont tell that you suck'

Because thats what Im seeing here right now.
I dont care about someones level or footage, I dont make fun of people for that reason.
Ill be very clear: I am not convinced TS has anymore than the very basic skills (which is fine) and he shouldnt be a forumleader.

The point also is: if a TD degenerates into a tardfest with some flailing, talking into a camera and some backslaps while being 'expert on an internet forum, I rather drop by at the WC school down the street instead of spending money travelling to Belgium.

I'm really not making promises, as im already half booked for the coming year: middle east, central europe (VIENNA!) and what fucking not.

I don't think those too were at a sparring level. They should hold pads and work basic technique. The fact that they are prominent members in a MA forum that advocates real fighting skills and regular hard core training is funny and sad.

Im basically talking about quality control here.

Look, when I played judo the teacher always allowed one retarded guy to 'train along', we'd be doing uchikomi and he would rub in his hands, mumble to himself and fart occasionally (really fucking disgusting farts btw) he'd do push ups with us, running, etc.
Thats fine, each class should have one retard.

But when you start to get to a point were a quarter...a half and eventually the entire class consists out nothing of retards, you gotta wonder if thats the road you wanna go down on.
