I never said this wasn't the case.

I believe I need to be training if I am going to post in this site, and I only post here if there is a specific focused reason, like updating my son's comp footage. I'm not training, and so i have nothing to post about.

Yet you have been responding to posts AROUND THE CLOCK. And for a couple of days now. And "phone, Diego" is not a legitimate response.

The site was about doing and promoting real martial arts and combat sports, and exposing BS, not do-nothing posing. It was, and it is, and all this talk won't change that.

Yet there are a few off topic fora and even a "classifieds" section. If this were still the case, why are some fora moderated "with an iron fist" while others barely at all?

You think the needs/wants of the users/public to create the impression of training something that isn't being trained can force an anti-BS site to ignore that sort of... BS? Nope. The contributors to the March of Dimes can't force that organization to come out against the Polio vaccine either.

Having "Kickboxing" in your style field does not imply anything more than I currently/previously trained in Kickboxing. If you take that to mean they are a phenom or whatever, that is entirely on you. Assuming the person isn't a liar, it should take nothing more than a question to find out about their training and if they are a liar they will likely be ousted sooner or later.

Look, the damn thing says 'Include the primary style of martial arts you train in, if any', present tense. A lot of people have made a decent case for another field for older stuff they know a lot about... fine, add that. Got my vote. If you put Kickboxing there I assume you train kickboxing. That's why it says "if any". You take it out when you're not training. IIRC A few years ago Phrost got **** for leaving a style up there when he publicly said he wasn't training. I wasn't clear, I see. When I said "previously trained", I meant that you achieved a level of proficiency or you weren't going to be out of training for more than maybe a month. So it would seem we are at least somewhat in agreement there.

The rest of what you said is just being pedantic. People may not change their style field for a variety of reasons. Maybe they forgot (oh noes!!), maybe they don't have access to a computer. When I found Bullshido, I was using my exes tablet and Tapatalk. I didn't even own a computer until a couple months ago. Now if you're on a tablet you have no excuse, but I know trying to use my phone's browser to change my style field can be a gruelling experience what with my huge man fingers.

WTF is up with that, if that would be true and one could not find 1 minute to reply with a short message then surely this person also wears diapers cos too busy to use toilet.
