True. And he said every single MA gym he went to in the past year called it quits soon after due to the massive recession in Spain. Sometimes it can be harder than just saying "DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT" to find real qualified trainers and get the training time done.

I just finished my daily routine, it involves a yogamat, and a weight.
You dont need a gym to workout.

OK, finally found the old thread

This is the Zendo post that set up the conflict

I train in 4 different clubs and in each one of them the 'serious' hobbyists train minimum 10 hours/week for minimum 46 weeks/year in the Martial Arts/Combat Sports alone (without adding the weight or condition training in those 10 hours).

If you would take the 'calculation' of Matt, A 'serious' hobbyist would have equalled his trainingtime compared to Matt in 1 year or 1.5 years at latest.

Hell, I train between 11 hours and 15 hours a week for 46 weeks without including the 1.5 hour kettlebelt drills and 40 minutes running a week and I consider myself tops as a 'serious' hobbyist.

I took this at face value and posted

I am totally jealous of you guys and your intensive training schedules. I know you like to leap from this-guy-only-trains-X-hours-a-week to this-guy-is-not-serious. That may often be true, but sometimes you get a guy who does not have that option because he has responsibilities that intrude. Rather than look at my training history and see someone who was not serious, maybe you could look again and see someone who wanted to train so badly that he spent every free hour he could get in the gym training. It may be inconceivable to you that anyone could get that little time away from raising kids, but that's what happens when you get left raising babies by yourself. Now you can choose to see that as an emasculating experience, or you can see it as a challenge that requires and developes mental toughness. It's all a matter of perspective.

Zendo was criticizing from a position of superior training commitment, and I accepted it at face value.

After I saw that vid, I poked fun at Lebell for crossing feet, and Zendo commented that he was the other person in that vid. I responded

I was fukkin pissed that I had let this dude talk down to me, and just taken it, when he clearly was not all that

Yes, indeed you are right, I let myself go in that period. Small depression after the divorce (even if I wasn't officially married).

You must feel quit safe running of your mouth with a nice big ocean seperating us, because I already outtrained you in the last 13 months and I'm 100% sure that you wouldn't even dare to say that to my face.
Unfortunally while still having a job and an income I ain't going to waist a single dime flying to the US to mop the floor of a cage with your face (I wouldn't be able to get in the corners very well)
