Suggestions? I like this one and it's on the cheaper side.

W Rabbit, I'd have a crossbow for hunting (poaching in dire need or staying hidden and full in a hostile area with firearm(s) to back me up (I'd just need a lone soldier to drop) which nobody understood). I know it's more of a joke, but seriously - a shotgun would be better, but for house interior I think a pistol/knife combo would be the best.
Though it takes more time to get used to it and it's harder to hit with it - and acquiring license could also be a bitch.
I wonder what others think on shotgun vs handgun inside a house for home protection? But as a fast efficient solution a shotgun would do more than enough for keeping too curious people in front of the house from venturing in.
Glad you're doing pretty well considering the situation. I wish a dry warm place and food to all that got hit by this beast.
It's cool I don't need a gun, rifle, bow or crossbow :-)

I bought the crossbow. I'm pretty good with that sort of stuff, right down to the best lube to use (yes, crossbows require lube).
I went south today in the V8 to bring supplies to a friend in Brick Township.
Life is surreal now.
Natural Gas Disaster? Check. The barrier islands (Jersey Shores' Seaside and Point Pleasant and a whole slew of towns) have a "compromised natural gas infrastructure" and won't be repaired for 6-8 months, so all the shore towns are a no-man's land. Gas is literally leaking out of the ground and from the water.
Martial law in some towns? Check. The National Guard has been given shoot to kill orders for looters, who have taken to boats and jetskis to hit their targets. There are now marine police and Coast Guard with machine guns patrolling the shores.
Gas rationing? Check. I can't refuel until after midnight, unless I drive to Pennsylvania or to certain counties. I now keep a reserve tank in my trunk...I literally have to take gas wherever I go because you can't find it easily.
Behold the new beachfront.
