Is it just me who suspects that Blaze Lee would not necessarily benefit much from being talked into taking a Judo class?

Judging from what I've seen and heard so far of Mr Dragon, he seems like the preacher type, constantly telling everyone who's willing to listen how the world works. His ego is huge, and he probably avoids any type of situation where it might get checked.

If he did agree to taking a Judo class, I think he would show up with numerous "injuries", and then sit out on any excersise he deemed to strenous (which would probably include the warm-up). And if he did agree to sparring (not very likely), he would probably start lecturing in the middle of a roll, talking away while being mounted or in the middle of getting armbarred, telling whoever's schooling him about the deeper, spiritual principles behind the martial arts - shaolin temple this, sport versus street that, uprooting priciple this, and why what he's doing now wouldn't work if they were fighting f0r r34l.

After having talked and rested his way through the class, not even breaking a sweat, he would walk his fat ass back to his parents basement, smugly contemplating his superiority in martial wisdom compared to those base, worldly judo-players.

So, I'm hoping I'm wrong, but that's basically how I would envision it going down.

Did you know that almost everything you think you know about Shaolin is made up?

that there where different styles with in Shaolin and different masters of said system? So not everyone who went to Shaolin to train would have used chang xiao ban.

Hey Blaze, if you ever happen to be in the NYC area I am extending an invite to my judo club and we can see how more less effective judo is for SD than JJJ is. I have been studying judo for over 20 years now, but come from a TKD/HKD background.

Since JJJ and Hapkido share pretty much the same lineage as judo, I can honestly say judo has served me better for SD than JJJ/HKD could ever, mainly due to the way judo is trained. If I learned HKD in the same live atmosphere that I have learned judo, maybe then it would be more effective. But I would probably be horribly disfigured and unable to walk.

sorry I don't want to be accused of miss quoting my school. Er Chie Kuen, Er Jie Gun is the original weapon. they just call it nunchaku because that is what everyone knows them as.

however er chie kuen was on my post from my school as the form, and er jie gun was in that wiki post I sent.

Well, Ihave watched this trainwreck now:
- from 00:00 to 02:00 he's still gets the point.
- from 02:00 to 06:00 he's losing the point, but not completely
- from 06:00 till the end, he's out of the ball park, running like Forest Gump.

My personal opinion is that if he does 3 years of dedicated Muay Thai and Judo training, he can be salvageable. He's not a big trainwreck such as Mountainious yet, but he's getting there fast.
