I think Kim payed close attention to how his takedowns worked with his ground game. The position before submission was extended to stand up. His previous fights he got some sweet takedowns, but did not land in a dominant position or did not immediately progress to a better position. The integrated use of takedowns and fundamentals seemed to lead to this performance.
