Dale,
Never had a problem with growing a beard, but the hair is starting to migrate to parts unwanted.
Considering Tiger Exits the Forrest for a tonic. Your thoughts?
edit...
crap, just noticed where this thread is located....
On topic, I did use to practice dynamic tension, which brought me to this thread. While good for strength I've been told it's possibly not so good for connective tissue. Thoughts?Last edited by hungryjoe; 10/23/2012 9:34pm at . Reason: oops again

Perhaps a certain book by Harry Wong would explain things...if only we had one.
I'm sure the "not so good for connective tissue" depends on how it's done and exactly what qigong we're talking about.
You can certainly hurt yourself doing certain qigong incorrectly.Last edited by W. Rabbit; 10/23/2012 9:54pm at .

Tension sets are to be done with as much tension you can produce but not enough that you start to shake, tremble or does not allow you to move smoothly through the range of motion being trained.
South Mantis uses partner training for what they call live power training. They use what is called grinding hands where you place arm to arm and then move through a ROM using tension. You learn to cut the power being pushed into you and then you learn to push power into another person and let them learn to cut the power.
Solo tension sets are frowned upon in higher level arts. You do not want Dead Power, you want Live power.
P.S. Never though I would look like a Bond villain. Cool!

I recently sat down and saw what I was paying for razor blades, I used the Mach 3's and was paying up to 500.00 a year for the things.
I grew out my hair and beard.
I have never grown a full beard and was amazed it was this good.
