It depends where you are, and what the local ordinances are. If Nancy was in Boston, and had ripped them off, say...bus shelters, or something, the LaRouchies would have been fined, most likely.

Of course, they know this here, and don't put up posters anywhere, that I've seen. They carry them with them, or set them at their tables of "literature"

One can only wonder where America's education system is headed when even official regulations spell 'pole' as 'poll'. Unless I'm missing a meaning for 'poll' and it means something else.

A poll is also the place where the polls are taken. Often there are regulations against campaigning within, say, 100 yards of a polling place, including the affixing or brandishing of campaign posters or even buttons.
