Never heard of a reeve, in a modern context. Is it a Welsh thing?

I would imagine any such role today is largely honorary. The only real roles of significance outside of the standard local govt. structures are those in places like the Isle of Man or the Isle of Scilly.

I got tased as part of correctional-officer training in western Canada. Cheapest way to find out whether or not you have a heart condition. Anyway, what's that metallic taste that stays in the back of your mouth afterward? It does not get forgotten, even years afterward.

Nope I mentioned it earlier, dark, expecting to find a sword, ended up actually finding the guy with a sword. A little bit jumpy cause its just a taser and away we go.

I missed the aftertaste part but can only speculate that it may be digestive juices that came up a little too far.

Ironically I do believe the man who actually had the Samurai sword didn't get tasered.

That's crazy, I'm a Taser instructor and I've been exposed three times now. I've never had any minor or major side effects. That's weird. I know you are joking, but there is no adverse effects of the Taser on your heart. It's the most common misconception.

It was in Norfolk, so realistically, it could mean anything.

I don't live in Wales any more, but it was never a place troubled by too much interest in law or government.
