Here's a fun little personal account. I had lyme disease in my youth, and thanks to the idiocy of my doctors, it somehow led to spinal menigitis, and I nearly died. Fortunately one of them was thinking clearly and managed to catch it before it was too late. My research into the subject has led me to some conclusions about the effects meningitis can have and what actually happened to me - and a possible theory on the actual nature of "post lyme disease."
