I said dodging not bad. I'm sure they did too, but the small class and few people showing up is why he should give a detailed answer not "well it's a mix."

    Do you need the threads?

I'll dig them up after my boys football game. Just to be clear, I mean people saying it is mixed and, As they keep typing, they slowly admit it is like the beginning of the bottom video with zero resistance. Better yet, they talk about the first two videos being sloppy, crappy and not showing true "Wu De" or "Chi."

    Still want them?

Still haven't been able to get on You Tube I'm afraid. None of the usual proxies are working at the moment.

From your description above, I can imagine what they are like. When we do silk reeling its with very little resistance, when we push hands, its with intent. We pull our punches to the face, obviously. Sometimes I get punched in the teeth, sometimes I get dumped on my arse. Its vigorous. Next day I hurt.

I was just looking on Youku for some equivalents. I was about to post the first video you linked to.

    Video 1 - yes

Video 2 - no - though that's chen xiaowang isn't it? and he knows what he's doing.

Though sometimes it looks more like about the 5 minute mark on this film:

    http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjQ3MjgyNzg0.html

Which makes sense as the only other local practitioner my sifu has a good word to say about is the guy who runs the shuai jiao in the local park.

Stylistically there are some differences, sifu likes joint locks and kicking the hell out of my shins, i like punching and sneaky elbows. We train on concrete so we can't go dumping each other full speed on the floor.
