Judo in/near Pasadena
I recently moved to Pasadena and am struggling to find a place to continue studying Judo. Unfortunately, Pasadena Kodokan Judo Club has a schedule that conflicts with my class schedule.
Any nearby Bullies have some recommendations? I come from a USJF school but am not super picky about affiliation. Also, I am a beginner, if that means anything.
If the school happens to offer MMA/Muay Thai/Kickboxing/whatever else that would also by fantastic, since I want to start some sort of striking soon (my TKD and two sessions of kickboxing won't cut it).
Alright, thanks. Sorry if this is an inappropriate thread for newbietown.
Your in SoCal which means its time to make the switch to BJJ
Here you go
I have found that we don't have a lot of Judo clubs around and Judo clubs do tend to have limited hours. The good news is there are tons of really good BJJ. I would go check them out if they fit into your schedule.
Also how far are you willing to travel?
I would prefer Judo at this point since it's something my brother and I do together but BJJ is certainly an option. If I were to shell out for for BJJ I would probably just join an mma gym so I could do some striking too. Travel wise I wouldn't want to drive more than 30-40 minutes or else it would be hard to get motivated to go to class.
Pasadena Judo Club.
Welcome to Bullshido. You'll probably want to employ the use of search engines here.

Reason: Wrong location for the club.
You may want to read the OPs original post where he mentioned them and then said the schedule doesn't work for him.

Also, Dartanian Jiu-Jitsu seems to be right up your alley. They combine BJJ with Judo, MMA, and whatnot. They're in North Hollywood.

Thanks for the tips guys.
Anyone trained at Glendale Fighting Club? Turns out they are less than 15 minutes from my house and that might be a good option for me.
Check them out, and let us know how it goes.
Will report back to the hive-mind once I get some experience with GFC.
