Good thread. Blasts from the past time - fights watched on VHS in the mid-late 90s.

Starting by props to team Netherlands and my old flatmate Gez who'd always come back from Holland with two or three tapes of Ramon Dekker and Peter Aerts. Gez was pretty much gay for the pair of them, and they were totally awesome tbf. Gez also made me puke once by leg kicking me when we were both pissed. Dekker was amazing, and Aerts had fights where you'd be like "OMG!" and then thirty seconds later you were all like "OMG!1!" and then another thirty seconds and it was "OMFG WTF!!?!!" etc.

Mark Hunt was ace, as indicated above.

Liam Harrison fought pretty much every time we used to go to see Master Sken's shows in Manchester, starting out early on the bill as a northern kid with a great attitude and brutal technique and working his way up until he was fighting/headlining all over Europe and Thailand. Nice bloke too.

Andy Hug, for making karate look badass.

Ramon Dekker, cause his asskicking highlight reel relieved any doubts in my teenage mind that kickboxing was good for fighting (well, Dutch muay thai, but still)

Cung Le, for beating the hell out of tomato cans with style and poise

Shonie Carter, for using spinning backfists in the UFC before it was cool

Buakaw, because I'm a little afraid that if I don't include him, he'll kick me in the face when I get up from the computer.
