    Kick

This is just curiosity at work. Anyone know where they got this low kick from?
Always thought it was a pretty cool move.. Google gave me no answers.

it's just a spinning sweep, pretty sure it is common in a lot of styles, certainly something I practiced in Soo Bahk Do, it's very high risk and pretty low pay off

Andy Hug used it pretty regularly. It's the first thing he throws here, around 2 minutes in. Of course, he also doesn't duck down with a big "place knee here" sign stuck to his face like a video game character. Getting hit in the thigh with a heel is pretty awful, but it's hard to make it work.

Yeah, I figured it'd be in a few different arts.. Just couldn't find the actual ones.
I liked the Andy Hug vid. Heel in thy.. Does sound painful.

Andd.. I don't THINK.. It's in systema. I've only been training it 6 months but I wouldn't be surprised if something similar's in there somewhere.

Its a spinning hook kick delivered low. They have that in savate, used in the same way as the roundhouse- get them to expect a higher kick, then swing it low. I sometimes do this, but instead of swinging around on a level angle, I bring it downward like a reverse Brazilian kick, so the high starting point suggests a high strike.

The game is a bit misleading. The upperbody of the computer figure is already fully turned towards the opponent before the kick makes an impact, making it indeed a "fouetté en tournant",

I noticed the leg comes after the body too. It is pretty funny how ballet it is..
