    Hell yeah! Hell no!
The Earth is, in fact, neither a flat plane nor a sphere, but rather an overly complex cube, due to biblical mathematics or some such bullshit, according to the most confusing website I've ever tried to wrap my head around:

    Yes, that was my point.

It was a cue to get people to engage brain when saying people thought the Earth was flat.

Columbus probably wouldn't have tried to sail around the round world if he had a better estimate of the size of the Earth.

I could only work through two paragraphs of that site. Next time provide a "Not safe for brain" tag.

There are some online forums where crackpots and their crank theories are rated by tenths of a timecube.

    Oh you're missing out:

In 1884,  meridian time personnel met
in Washington to change Earth time.
First words said was that only 1 day
could be used on Earth to not change
the 1 day bible. So they applied the 1
day  and  ignored  the  other  3 days.
The bible time was wrong then and it
proved wrong today. This a major lie
has so much evil feed from it's wrong.
No man on Earth has no belly-button,
it proves every believer on Earth a liar.
Doesn't matter, you're probably one of those evil educated adults who ignore 4 simultaneous same day earth rotation. Children who kill you will be blessed. O_o
    Dum spiro, spero.
    Tada gan iarracht.

    Well, perhaps.

But he wouldn't have even bothered to sail to Asia if he knew the riches of the new world awaited him in Central and Southern America.

You know, I'm pretty careful when I post. Hence my usage of the phrase, ". . . ordinary people . . ." So if you think that farmers and blacksmiths believed that the earth was round, same as the medieval scholars did, go for it.
