Agreed, but here's further context:

This is the second time he's been got with a banned substance. Back in 2009, he was caught with diuretics in his system. This will probably result in him being suspended from fighting in Nevada for a year.
This just highlights how terrible his training habits are. Anyone who watched 24/7 will tell you that JCC Jr. hasn't been working nearly as hard as other elite fighters, going so far as to stand up Freddie Roach simply because he didn't feel like coming in.

On another note, there was a scene on 24/7 where JCC Jr. was hanging out in a pink speedo, eating Cheerios, while his dad was talking to him about boxing. This whole marijuana incident makes that scene all the more funny to me.

I don't know who to be more pissed at: Chavez Jr. for so completely underestimating Martinez that he smoked weed before the fight, or the fight fans who claim Junior "would've won if he weren't stoned."

Finally got to see this the other night.
Martinez was too fast for Chavez Jr., beating him to the punch and counter-punching him to death at times.
Despite the heroic effort at the end, Chavez Jr. lost the fight quite decisively.
An entertaining bout.
