    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Hi, my name is Chris B., and I'm a noob.

I've made a couple posts, but thought I'd introduce myself properly. I live in Washington, DC, and have been practicing muay thai for a couple months.

My history is pretty boring. I was pretty active in high school sports, on the wrestling and cross-country teams, but didn't exercise much once I started smoking in college. I quit smoking about a year and a half ago, and starting running with my wife. I figured I should do some cross-training, and the studio where my wife did strength training happened to offer muay thai classes. I figured it made more sense to build strength with some sort of useful skill, rather than just weights, so I started and have been really enjoying it.

The forums, and the advice here, has been really great, and thanks to everyone who makes this such a lively community.

Its great to not have a noob that within 3 posts starts talking about how they don't believe in sport fighting because that can't possibly help them in their street fights against multiple attackers. Welcome to BS, glad you're enjoying the site.
