The OP was about bullshidokas, not McDojos, and everybody ran with it. I posted a clip devoid of any trace of aliveness after a brief search. Not my best effort, but I would under no circumstance train at a place that looked like that if I were interested in a practical art.

I thought really watered down crappy "technique" that barely resembles how technique is supposed to go (like my original vid was, students doing "Muay Thai kata" and laughably shitty pad work in some sort of mass franchise cult-like dojo) was considered a McDojo practice whereas bullshit like one touch knockouts/super gun disarms etc. were Bullshido?


Either way it would be cool if we just kept posting really funny vids of people doing stupid **** and care less about the semantics of the exact criteria of McDojo and Bullshido.

Because of that stupidity in sticking with long established definitions on this site, we have now had to deal with one dumbass n00b harassing one of the martial arts teachers on this site. This has lead to posters being censured by our legal team before, because we do not need one of you dumbasses getting lawyers siced on us.

So, one more time, for all the fucktards:

1) Bullshido is teaching one thing and doing another. Saying Aikido is a practical fighting art. Saying BJJ is the ultimate self-defense art but never learning how to strike or deal with weapons or mass attack can be just as Bullshido, despite the higher functionality. Seriously, have you seen some of the Gracie knife defenses?

B) McDojo is business practices. Some of the best MMA schools in the Maryland area are massive McDojos.

Tres) Traditional martial arts are not automatically Bullshido. They become Bullshido when statements are made about them. Can Wing Chun teach you effective self-defense? Yes, but it may not be the most efficient venue in which to do so. Does everyone who trains Shotokan do so for reasons of self-defense? Does everyone who trains Aikido do so because they believe it is the ultimate martial art that will defeat all comers as long as they wear their magic pajamas?

In closing, sit the **** down & shut the **** up.
