Isn't Judo pretty strong in Australia as well? Matt D'Aquino is an Aussie and puts up a bunch of great Judo videos up on Youtube. If there is a Judo club close by you might want to check it out. It will be a great fit with your BJJ experience and give you great stand up and throwing experience and skills.
But to your original post and question... I think you are on the right track. Concentrating on BJJ and getting really skilled at that could be really beneficial for your MMA aspirations. Once you've belted up in BJJ then you can start working on other stuff. Sort of like periodization in conditioning.Last edited by thp; 9/22/2012 2:19pm at .
