    I like to fill up a big tough bag with about 1/3 (minimum), 1/2 (medium) or 3/4 (maximum) my body weight with sand.
    The sand should still be able to shift inside the bag. (causing reactionary resistance to your moves)
    And just wrestle with it switching from move to move as fast as I can for about 20 minutes straight.
    It's Exhausting.

    Cleans, lots of cleans. They are great for explosive power, and will tire you out quickly. Lately I've been doing lots of cleans followed by sprints uphill. It's a brutal workout, but my explosiveness and cardio is rapidly improving.

    Pick up a P90X DVD and do one of those on your off days, do the jump training, or cardio kickboxing sessions. Bas Rutten has an awesome workout audio CD that is a good routine to do between sessions (although kickboxing centered).

    Try Bikram Yoga, or any similar variation of Warrior Yoga.
    Incorporating strength, flexibility, and balance. This kind of Yoga is great for judo.

    HIIT in the form of sprints will help with the weight and of course resistance training. This will contribute to speed as well. For sport specific speed once you have the form down solo uchi komis and ukemi (seriously).

    Thanks for the advice everyone. My shoulder is feeling good enough to start training again next week so I should finally be able to try most of these suggestions.

    Speed and agility training for Judo (video)

    I am a big fan of speed and agility style training that many soccer players use.
    I actually have a video online about it but am unable to post it at the moment as i only just joined this forum.

    Thanks I'll go check it out. I'm actually subscribed to you on Youtube, and have purchased your Strength Training ebook (still havent had much of a chance to go through it or the other books that came with it though, and barely scratched surface of your videos). You seem to have some good stuff.

    Ok my fanboy moment is over. Haha.
