He has probably a better chance of doing so than Sonnen. I just doubt he has the courage. GSP is one of the smartest, most skilled fighters I have seen. His striking is world-class; his takedowns may be the best in the business; his ground skills are at least competitive with Silva (IMO, they're better). He's just not that ballsy.

Very interesting fight
Its kinda weird I really want GSP to win because he did Kyokushin but I still think that silva has better chances

Fighting is not just physical is about who has the most knowledge

I'm not sure I could see GSP taking down Silva, if anything it would be a 5 round pattycake session that would end in a decision.

Gene Lebell says Ronda Rousey could have taken Bruce Lee. I want to see that fight, it has about the same chance of happening as Silva-GSP.

It would be cool to see two fighters of such renowned skill go at it. Plus both of them are pretty classy guys IIRC. Pretty sure I've seen theach of them behave as quality sportsmen and not trash talk when given the mike. I have a lot of respect for the fact that they both show a lot of respect, not just to their opponents but to the sport.

Is it too much to hope for a clean, drama free and honerable competition between masters?
