The advice is for a filling meal on a budget. Poor people don't always get to pick and choose their carbs or protein.
I have a fantastic idea; Why don't you give the young man beter advice than I offered instead of just being a whiny contrary little ****?
Or at the very least read the OP before you jump to conclusions. -

This is not a meal on a budget. What you're suggesting costs just as much as doing anything else.
6 pack of chicken from any grocery store costs like $6.
25lbs bag of rice $15 from any asian grocerie store.
The rice will hold for half a year and feed you until it's all gone.
Bake the chicken.
Cook the rice.
Done. That is a meal on a budget. You're suggesting **** that 1. Is not good for you. and 2. Not really on a budget. -

Yes, I did read that.
He can also microwave that ****. Or spend the $40 on a hot plate and not worry about it. This is some pretty fucking simple **** one can think around. I didn't know that we had to give him every single step. I'm pretty certain that he can breathe without being reminded. Some other people, I'm not so sure about. -

I'm not flame warring anything. I'm trying to point out the awful advice here. The guy already has trouble getting nutritious food to eat and guy over there wants him to eat stuff, but stuff that's even worse for him.
Getting something like a little toaster oven isn't a stretch. This is some real advice I'm giving here. -
