Besides, what would guys from prison know about real life and death fighting?I am not an expert in MMA so I do not know the intricacies of their outlook, but from the outside it appears to most traditional martial artists that the MMA/UFC crowd has more of a bad attitude than a mental edge. The tough guy ‘bad boy’ F.U. attitude might be fine in prison, but it is no way to live in society. The competitions only serve to build the egos of these guys, and although there are certainly exceptions, the MMA guys mostly come off as little more than street-level gang-bangers who have organized themselves into fighting clubs. I see no evidence of their mental edge.
Should be easy enough to verify his fight record then... oh, wait. ***EDIT---Fair enough, he posted a vid with his name on it.***

It's cool.
MA Huh? I am from RI originally, I moved to the Chi because MMA was illegal on the East Coast in some places, How messed up is that? Silly boxing commissions said elbows were inhumane because they maimed and I wasn't in the mood to wait while politicians debated on how to hit someone in the face. -

Its not really an art that's transferable to MMA without serious alterations IMO.
From what I know of the art, its a no rules kill a man and do what you gotta do kind of thing. And its not so much just a martial art as a full on survival system. Its everything from acrobatics to muscular conditioning, climbing, weapons' training, AND martial arts. But from what I've seen from the art it looks like Karate, Kung Fu and Aikido had an assassination baby with a spider monkey.
A perfect option for life, after first being introduced to it I went and checked out some videos and really want to learn it in all its forms, but as an MMA art...not a great choice. -
