No, it was taken in the proper context. YOU missed the context of HIS post. You crybaby.

All that people put a lot of effort into what they do so in my opinion its not scary that they can throw it would be scary if effort didnt pay off
In his post, the context that YOU MISSED, he pointed out she was blind. That's what makes it scary to him. Not your little whiny derail about all effort makes everyone equal, which is entirely not true.

Also, the fact that she’s blind means that the effort required is not equal. Facing additional challenges and being told that she could never do something like this at all means that she is extra badass.

The general point about feeling a certain reticence about people going OTT about excessively praising Paralympians in an effort to seem on message is one that I agree with.

My grandmother won a Paralympic silver in Atlanta back in 1996 and she certainly doesn't want to be the recipient of overly synthetic praise just because she's disabled. Then again she's never considered her disability a part of her identity, perhaps others who do, welcome that kind of thing.

The Canadian judoka who fought in the -100kg division trained out of my club. I met him on the mat and never figured out on my own he was blind, and if I'd met him outside the club first I never would have figured out he was a fighter. He's got that combination of superb skill and supremely polite modesty, it's a real privilege to get to train with him.

Imagine how bad you'd have felt if you used both arms.
