Kayla Harrison will be conducting a clinic at on September 15th 2012 at Tech Judo,
2100 85th Street,
North Bergen, NJ 07047

The clinic will run from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

Kayla is the first American to win an Olympic Gold Medal. I hope everyone will make every effort to attend this clinic with this truly great American Judoka.

As far as I have been told the clinic will be $50 for Senior players (+17 years old) and $30 for junior players. I will post more info as it becomes available.

My jealousy level just went through the roof. Hopefully she will make a trip to St. Paul or Minneapolis one day. You will have to post a rundown and/or vids of the clinic for those not as lucky as you!

Here are some pics from the clinic with Kayla Harrison.

Kayla, myself and my son. I have to get a new gi, i have been told, cuz this one is too big now.


She worked on some guard passes to osaikomi, both of which look like they can transition into a nice leg lock.




After a few variations, she went into some grip fighting and finally ended with her ouchi gari, which can be easily become a kouchi gari.

All in all it was very informative, the grip fighting in particular. She worked on breaking grips and going for an assortment of makikomis. Good stuff.

She will be around again, so I will give you all a heads up.

When I have some time tomorrow, I will post more pics.
