Remember the days when being a "Sifu" actually meant something?

    No?

    Me neither.

Sorry, I do. I met a few and they have the records to prove it.

Wow. That was terrible on a lot of diff levels.

Aside from the actual fighting it surely would have been a better idea to get either a proper ring setup to use or just ditch the half assed attempt they made and just use a simple matted area?.

Seemed a bit irresponsible to put up some thing that (sort of) looks like a ring, but doesn't actually do any of the ring functions.

Based on that fight, I am promoting my fifth grade self to sifu. I could fight at least that well when I was ten.

How does kung fu survive with "sifus" of thus caliber?

And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

If someone would teach one of these "masters" a genuine guillotine choke, they could dominate all sifu-on-sifu competitions for all time.

And good God. What the **** happened to the power rangers!

I disagree. This is much worse than the link in the OP.

I'd like to split hairs and say that you can't say it's gone bad if it was never good to begin with.

And holy crap, I actually burst out laughing at the black guy in the hat. The only people who wear those here are rice farmers and other jobs that require them to be out in the middle of the day, and the worst of the sun. Keep on keeping on, asiaphiles.
