Yes it is a single point of data. He has not proved he can do this repeatedly and someone besides him needs to be able to use the art before I would think it works.

Is it proof that a technique, from the art called Aikido, can work? Yes.

That is it. The OP is too general and the answer would be no.
Come on, let him bask in the extremely brief glory of an art he does not study!

In a state like California that has a "3 Strikes, You're Out" rule? Most definitely. Anywhere else, yes. Too many felons decide to ice the witnesses at the spur of the moment. The only minor critique I would make is which direction he turned the muzzle. But I wasn't there, and I still think the guy should get a medal for balls.

To be clear, this technique worked for this guy, this time. Its a single point of data. You would really need to start compiling self defense scenarios when Aikido was utilized to determine its true capability.

Or they could just start competing. That would be nice.
You guys are doing it all wrong! Reasoned debate is so old fashioned! Satire and irony are in.

    Here let me show you.

    Aikido working? *posts video*

Yes, this one example of Aikido working vindicates the entire art and all it's practitioners. Any other questions?

See how easy that was? It's less work than forming a salient point as well. Bonus!
Shut the hell up and train.
