    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Going to do One month of MMA

I'm going to do a month of MMA instead of paying myself a BJJ or MMA like some Kyokushin practicioners are doing.

I think going to a seminar is quite useless if you are not going to do any rolling nor MMA like class and you are going to keep doing the same stuff you were already doing

What I decided is to: Go a month to a MMA academy is discussed in other threads, yes the Smaller academy

The Trial class I attend I got my face tapped several times during the focus mitten training so I realize I have a lot to improve.

After that month I'm going to practice what I learned with a few BJJ friends and ofcourse in the bag and in the future I plan to crosstrain there with Kyokushin

What do you think? Any tips to prepare myself for the MMA classes?

Any time you delve into something new or different, you have to elevate your game and the improvements will come.

I don't have a point of reference (I don't train MMA), but as with any endurance sport--cardio conditioning can't hurt.

Sorry My english is not the best
I will explain it the best I can

I do Kyokushin, I see other Kyokushin practcioners attending BJJ and MMA seminars I found that useless as we keep only doing "pure" Kyokushin (no clinch, no groundwork, no leg catching , no head punching)

I went to one Trial Class at this MMA academy I'm going to go for One month and I know the instructor is both an excellent person and trainer.

With that month I will learn a few thing to expand my game and I will continue to practice the headshots and clinching on the bag and the ground work and throws with a few friends who do BJJ.

In the next months I may be able to start crosstraining in that academy continiously

Ahh, ok. Well don't be discouraged when you don't feel like you learned enough in that month and don't forget to tap.

A lot of the techniques you've learnt in karate won't be too effective in MMA sparring. Be ready to fight at a slightly different range, be ready to sprawl, and be ready for your training partners kicking your legs hard and often.

From kyokushin, this will be your friend:

I hear plenty of TMAists say 'yeah I'm trying out MMA, but I can handle it'

Next thing you know your selling your gi and belt to pay for fancy shorts and your hair is cut into a mohawk

    That **** is addictive
