My son who has previously shown very little interest in martial arts seems to be ready to give BJJ a go. He's been talking about possibly playing basketball, which is fine. So, it's almost time to sign up and we wanted him to make a decision. I mentioned martial arts again as a possibility and he seemed much more interested this time.
Anyway, my wife and I told him we wanted him to pick a sport or some type of physical activity and stick with it for at least a year. He seemed cool with that too. I'm glad we didn't have to argue about it because I feel strongly he'll benefit from (A) being involved with a sport and (B) learning to stick with something for a while.
His final decision is still pending, but he seems to be leaning towards BJJ. So, with any luck I may be arm barring people with my sperm soon. -
