PDS Rifles Style: Univ. Florida Kickboxing--
IWB 3-4:30. I mean 7:30-9 since I'm left handed. I've never, ever, even remotely found it comfortable or even concealable to carry anywhere in the front. Plus, I've seen way too many (two direct observation, one hearsay) accidents at the range from drawing to never ever have the weapon pointed at yourself while holstered, especially at the vitals. These guys were all experienced shooters and guys who carry.
Basically, there is definitely a better way. Almost every other way since you are unwilling to have a gun loaded and pointed at yourself at the same time. Get another gun if the PX4 is too big for more standard carry methods. -

Know how to prevent this?
A good holster, and learning to not have your damn finger in the trigger!
Guarantee everyone who shot themselves didn't follow the rule of not putting their fingers on the trigger until they intend to fire.
I carry one in the chamber, safety on on my right hip in the front or back.
PROOF that I'm not a completely useless poster:

My Spring-Fall carry is my Glock 17, IWB, round chambered, 4:30. I have carried my G26, Kahr CW9, and a G19. I always go back to this for the time of year I stated.
My Winter carry is my Glock 21sf, OWB, 3:00, round chambered. I want to carry this year round, but it weighs to much to wear with shorts, and IWB is out of the question, as it is way to thick. I have considered going to a compact Glock in 45, but I like my high capacity.
I also agree that, pointing my firearm at any of my own vitals is never a good thing. I prefer to point it at the bad guys vitals instead. :) -
