    八忌拳: Eight Fears Boxing

    http://tvpot.daum.net/clip/ClipView....03&srcid=56069

I learned this set years ago when I began studying Sibpalgi, aka Korean kung, aka Sorimgwon, aka Shaolin Boxing. It was the second set I learned after Tantoi, aka Tantui, aka Spring Leg.

It's called Palgigwon in Korean, meaning Eight Fears Boxing. I'm sure its of Long Fist origin, but I've been unable to find it in any Chinese system of Long Fist. Any CMA practitioner I've shown it to has been unable to recognize it.

So, I offer this up to wise hedz of the Bullshido CMA forum. Bueller? Bueller?

It's possibly my favorite set out of anything I've ever done. I love the applications as well as the set itself. Most Korean kung fu systems are random amalgamations of what various masters learned of CMA, mainly orthodox Shaolin long fist, Northern Mantis, and Baguazhang, so tracing family trees can be fun. I'd like to know about this one if I can.

Just as a point of clarification, the Korean at the beginning say Sorim/Chilseong Danglang-gwon...aka Shaolin/7 Stars Praying Mantis Boxing. But outside of that, I've found no reference to this individual set.

Sorry, the opening looked familiar, but I'm updating my video drivers. The video keeps freezing and I can't see the full set.

It looks like a Mantis Set I learned, but it was in a Mcdojo. I'll look around because it looks extremely familiar.
