Interesting thread. I guess once I get good at the techniques I'm serious about I'll use this as an inspiration.

The fingers are prep work. And I have thick fingers.

When I'm messing around with someone inexperienced, pop out the back from a lockdown half-guard, fake like I'm going to try and take the back, banana split.

Wait a second...you train at Takada Dojo? As in KARL GOTCH Takada dojo?

I guess people don't much click on the business link thingy at the top of my posts.

Yeah, I trained at Takada Dojo for 10 years. Still live in Tokyo and train somewhere else now. I know Takada trained w/Gotch, if that's what you mean. But I don't think there was much connection with the gym other than that. It was always Takada's place.

As for the Sakuraba Special, it looks like this...

And my rare successes with the figure-4 look more like Volk Han than Ric Flair...

BTW, I checked your profile. It said you did indie pro-wrestling in Mississippi. Ever work with a guy named "Phil the Drill" (who now lives in Japan)?

For fun? Punching someone in the face when I have them in a locked triangle is pretty fun.

    An achilles lock, I believe.

EDIT:nevermind i see what's going on there lol. Disragard this:
That does NOT look like a good time...is that similar to the banana split? It looks similar, but it's hard to tell who's arm's who's in the picture lol:

That said, standing I'd have to say picking the lead leg with several leg kicks, then feigning the leg and throwing the superman punch...i see that's been touched on quite a few times tho.

On the ground, I'd have to say either baiting the triangle choke and then slipping past into side control (hooking the leg as it comes up...that backfires alot but like you said FUN). -OR- taking the crucifix from side control from a keylock attempt (again risky, but fun when you catch it)

Click links? Look at people's user names? Next I suppose you'll expect me to actually READ other people's posts before I give set them straight with a dose of good old down home truth.

The name doesn't ring a bell...and from the sound of things this gentleman's gimmick would be one of those that sticks in your memory. No matter how hard you try to forget it. The group I worked with was run by a promoter named Bob Serio, up in the Delta/northern part of the state, as a play by play guy.
Once Bob was able to get Jerry Lawler on one of his shows (we were pretty close to Memphis) and it was an odd feeling to sit there and call a Lawler match, since I'd been listening to him and Jim Ross call matches since I was just a young un.
