[sarcasm] How dare you attempt to correct me. I am the great and powerful Omega. My judgement is final. I never use the a word incorrectly, that word simply changes it's meaning "So says Omega"[/sarcasm]
Seriously though, gambit can be synonymous with gauntlet which is the context that I assumed everybody understood. And nobody likes a grammar Nazi.
Actually people who scream keep your hands up usually have a rudimentary idea about the reasoning behind it. I think I'll start a different thread on the subject. The short answer here is because he slows down when he keeps his hands in the "boxer's" guard. I made him do it for days just to get him used to it. It's not cohesive with his style of fighting in which I'll need at least a year to beat out of his reflexes. Just saying. -

I understood Gambit as one of two things: 1. A manouvre in which material is sacrificed to gain an advantage, tactical or other wise. 2. That cajun ************ from the X-men that wanted to **** Rogue all the time in the animated
series.

Incidentally, I never understood why motherfuckers used either the King's or Queen's Gambit, I've always detested those moves that **** with the symmetry of the board in the openings. Having a pawn advance past home territory that early does not please me aesthetically.
And for further stories of my triumph in my active days: I defeated a team mate with the Blackburn Gambit because he hadn't ever seen it before. Then he sinks a girl from rival high school in a tournament because she played Italian and fell for the Blackburn Gambit. Clearly she wasn't that smart, but still that **** was over in like 8 moves from black. I lost in the same tournament to a girl from the same high school because I was playing black and got fucking sloppy with my defense as I was watching my homie destroy the other girl. No one ain't get no ***** afterwords though. We were a bit disappointed with that.Last edited by The Question; 8/28/2012 1:41pm at .
