It's funny. In the article, Frazier's kickboxing credentials were made to look substantial. When Black Belt was reporting on the first UFC, however, they downplayed the organizations he fought for as second-rate.

On a side note, it really bothers me that no one i talk to has even heard of genki sudo. Like you said, just a very entertaining, charismatic guy. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Also, I need to add Mark Hunt's knockout of Kongo. Love Mark Hunt, and I'm kinda liking this little win streak he's been on lol.

Bothers the **** outta me too. Being into mma, without having witnessed the awesome entertainment powerz of that guy, seems like only knowing scrambled eggs, without the cheese.

I could do a top 20 favorite Genki moments, personally. Same as with Fedor. Some fighters seem to ooze moments of greatness, whereas others do very well, but more on paper, than to witness.

Also, I need to add Mark Hunt's knockout of Kongo. Love Mark Hunt, and I'm kinda liking this little win streak he's been on lol.

Hunt is one of my favorite fighters.

Fans who suggest fighters "need" to retire, for legacy/safety or whathaveyou, IMO are more concerned about their own vicarious emotional validation, than the athletes themselves. Safety is ALWAYS an issue in combat sports, from the newbie, to the vet. At my gig last night, a guy who fought Mike Tyson was there, shuffling around. Everyone pays the price, to some degree, to do this sort of thing.

Crocop's gonna fight some more, which I love. He said, "let's just say I was born to fight". **** legacy. People get one life to live, so why run it according to the whims of uninvested third parties?

I turned down a private audition for Amurka's G0t T4lent, a few months back b/c I don't give a **** what people want me to do, with my expression. Some boxes, I won't put myself in. I would hope athletes would do the same.

Forgot about this when I made my list. There's ten list-worthy epic moments in that video alone. The opening announcement that he wants to "die in the ring". The fact that the insane dude's opponent isn't wearing gloves in the fight where he keeps headbutting. And at 3:20 where the ref takes him down to side control? Priceless.
