South Korean favorite Lee Daehoon has continued his run for gold, defeating Rusky Alexy Denisenko 6-7. He'll face Spain's Joel Bonilla for the Men's Flyweight gold.

Spain's in a very good position to sweep the Flyweight division. In addition to Bonilla in the mens', the Womens' flyweight gold medal match is between Bridgette Enrigue facing Wu Jingyu. This promises to be a tough fight though, as Wu Jingyu is fresh off a 14-0 defeat of Erika Kasahara.

Bad morning for America. Diana Lopez is out after a three round struggle resulting in a 1-0 loss to China's Hu Yuzhou.

And in what was possibly the most interesting fight yet, Terence Jennings lost to Servet Tazegul 8-6.

I saw it coming and you heard it here first.

Update: Joel Gonzalez Bonilla won gold and Brigitte Yague Enrique silver.

Yup. The fight between Yague & Wu Jingyu was pretty good.

In today's news, Servet Tazagul continues to inspire my mancrush of him, defeating Ukraine's Husarov Hryhorii 9-2. Seriously, if you aren't watching, you're missing one of the most dynamic kickers in all of combat sportsdom.

    Highlights from today's featherweight semi-finals:

British cutie Jade Jones made a great comeback against Taipei's Licheng Tseng, 10-6. She overcame her with a couple sweet head kicks. To quote Liam Cullen, "Do not **** with our women." Jones will advance to face China's Hou Yuzhuo for the Gold.

Severet Tazegul stamped on Martin Stamper's face to defeat him 9-6 (see what I did there?). It was a beatiful fight, the most exciting one so far. Am I riding the Turk's nuts too tightly? Stay tuned as he faces Irani Motamed Bagheri for the Mens featherweight gold.

A very nice win for the gorgeous Jade Jones! I thought the ref was going to muck it up with all the warnings/deductions, but it ended up pretty fair in my opinion. Congrats GB. Now it's time for Servet to dominate!

Yes, Jade did a great job of dominating, followed up by an intense match that led to an eventual win by Servet Tazagul. I don't know which one of these fighters I'm crushing on more. OK, I do. Even if I still think the Welsh are wierd.

In this morning's Welterweight preliminaries, Paige McPherson fought a suprising route against hometown favorite Sarah Stevenson. Thankfully, I didn't have to question my patriotism, and rooted for Paige, since Sarah Stevenson is no Jade Jones. Paige will go on to fight Turkey's Tatar Nur, who defeated Grenada's Andrea St. Bernard by a similar point spread. If Ms. Nur fights anything like her Turk compatriot, Sevret Tazegul (wasn't he in one of the Harry Potter movies?), Paige is going to have one hell of a fight on her hands.

Disappointingly, Steven Lopez, America's best hope for a TKD Gold, fell to Azerbaijani Ramin Azizov in a tight match that was scored 3-2. Hopefully, he'll be able to pull off a bronze medal later.

Agh...it looked like a good fight between Paige & Nur Tatar, but then Nur went upside Paige's head with a round kick - spinning hook kick combo, resulting in a 5 point lead from which Paige never recovered.

So Paige McPherson will face Andrea St. Bernard for a chance at the Bronze medal. I think Paige can pull this one off.

Still can't believe Steven Lopez is completely out of it. What a let down.
