You did a fine job in this first video. You seem to move smoothly between positions but seem a little lost at times once you get there. Don't worry, it'll come. Re: your opponent's armbar attempt: Thank God you listen to your coach. It seemed like you heard him and sucked those elbows in just in time to give you a chance to defend that arm bar.
Something I like to do is build a sort of if/then decision tree of sub attempts in my head. Example: if he's defending my rear naked I try to get a leg over one of his arms. If he's still making it difficult, something like this is in order:
