I am very interested in seeing this go live. Should make for a lot more pace setting than most MMA events and give the spectator a lot more to cheer for, especially now that there is no chance of a whole round being on the ground with little "exciting" action. (No offence MMA guys!)
From a marketing and fan perspective this is amazing.
I think what turns many people off from mma (viewers) is that when a fight goes to the ground it has a general tendency to be slower and not as action oriented as boxing or pure stand up.
It's one thing when you are familiar with what is going on but to a layperson which Is the average viewer how it could be boring. I can see this taking the action of boxing with the added range of limited groundwork appealing to what the average non ma knowledgeable viewer wants to see.
