My point is:

I think non gloved boxing safer than boxing with gloves.
No old time rules of course so the fights should be of the modern duration.

Decent read, although many here will already understand the "anatomy of a combat glove" for want of a better term.

I still don't understand how you can **** up the word "bareknuckle" so completely in the title, though. Maybe you've been sparring with gloves for too long.

Cool article. I wish he had talked more about any differences between old bare-knuckle fights and what the WBKBA does (e.g. standing grappling, rules about how a round ends).

Also, he claims Gunn's fight was "sanctioned" and that he's the world champ now, but it seems like Gunn fought under a sanctioning body created partly by himself with a website that no long exists (WBKBA.com).

Is this the same organization with a re-tooled name?

First off in that pic he is cheating, he has a ring on. Second off that fucker looks like he could punch a hole in tank armor. Other than that I thought the point of gloves was to protect the hands and keep skin tearing to a minimum. I would think there would be a greater chance of concusion with bare knuckle though.

The theory on the site is that the gloves were introduced to increse the chance of KO's and allow better head hunting
