wow you guys are like a swarm of anrgy bees lol. Let me clarify. I just got home and relocated to FL. I was checking out schools and I sat in, watched a few classes and talked pricing. Its amazing how so many places want you to sign a contract for x amount of time and the rate is astronomical. The few tkd, tsd schools I checked looked like McDojos doing kata that was similar to Shotokan and basically point sparring with no ground work. I checked out a Kyokushin school at it was harder sparring but no head contact and no ground work. It looked like 2 guys just punching and kicking eachother. There is 2 mma gyms but the instruction looked poor as if the guys were all book taught and just pacticing (not that its a bad thing I just want a higher skill level instructor). I havnt found any Muay Thai Gyms just places that claim to teach xyz and muay thai. Hey I was upset and went on a rant. Anyone in the Tampa FL area know anyplace that has a good rounded curriculum with good hard sparring? Dont get me wrong I dont want to kill people and break bones in sparrng but I think with boxing headgear, mouth guard, jkd boxing gloves and foot pads a little hard sparring with throws and ground work is good for the soul. In the Army we have combat class that is pretty much military guys doing mma on a military only circuit. We spar hard and have ufc style competitions with headgear and foot, shin guards optional at different levels. As for having time to waste, not really. Just been training a long time. Im looking to further it but havnt found a dojo to call home yet. Im going to check out one tonight called Earl Harris Karate Academy. Guy has a heavy background in TKD but supposed to have mixed curriculum. Anyone hear of him?

I probably exaggerated a bit; it isn't every time someone says something like that, but almost.
If it has Tires or Tits, expect problems.
