The Feather "no sharpen" straight razor. You don't have to worry about honing or stropping. Just slide a blade in it and go.Last edited by Middlefinger; 8/01/2012 5:32pm at .

Sorry Fuzzy, but this is a load of bull.
Shaving with a straight razor is no more difficult than shaving with a disposable. The rules are the same. Use the razor edge to scrape and hair comes off. Use it to cut and you'll bleed all over the place. Knicks from a straight razor tend to be longer than those from a safety, but they are no more deep or frequent.
The "mystique" around these things only exists because they look scarry and so few people are still familiar with them.
They are every bit as easy to use as a disposable. Easier even since they give a smoother shave with less muscle and scraping. I have even shaved my junk with them. (requires patience and a STEADY hand.)
p.s., if anyone demands "picks or it didn't happen"... -

It's all good. They really aren't as scary as peopl think. Granted, you "can" cause a phenominally disgusting cut with one but only if you do things that are unsafe with any bladed razor.
It's an advanced technique. Real test of skill and stupidity. Your reluctance is a compliment to your intelligence, sir. ;) -
