Hendo chasing the GOAT?

I thought this thread would be about Henderson chasing an actual goat as part of his training, like when Rocky chased that chicken.

There are only so many guys in the discussion. With all he's done, he deserves mention.

Who are we talking about? Randy, Hendo, Fedor, Anderson, GSP, and possibly a couple of others. Not a long list, in this young sport.

I'm not certain Anderson could take Fedor (they walk around at a similar weight), but I damn sure watched Hendo do it. Even older Fedor is no joke.

He's the man, gotta love his fights but I don't think he's in contention for a GOAT. All I can see vying for that would be Fedor or Silva.

The H-Bomb is dangerous. His wrestling is great, his clinch work pretty sweet. He COULD catch both Jones and Silva on a good/perfect/"lucky" night and put them both to sleep. To say that makes him the GOAT, IMHO, is not close to accurate. He loses to either of them 8/10 times. If he happens to find their chins in a particular fight and takes the belt(s), I still don't think that makes him the GOAT. He's not defend the belt lie Silva, nor be as dominant as Jones, in all likelihood.

I'm a huge fan, the guy is a beast. A legend. A great ambassador for the sport. GOAT, sorry Hendo, I just don't see it.

I wouldn't put Randy on the short list either. Or GSP. Not yet. Depends on how the rest of his career goes. Silva, yeah. Fedor, yeah. Those are the only two fighters who deserve to be in the discussion at this point IMO.

If I were making a list that included Henderson I'd put him somewhere behind Matt Hughes.

I'm not sure I would put Fedor on the same list as Silva. Silva has conquered every new challenge that has come along, Fedor not so much. It could be argued that Fedor just didn't evolve with the sport.
